Fuel Poverty Adviser – Full-time, 2-year contract
Location: North London (community-based, some hybrid working)
Could this be your next role?
We’re recruiting a Fuel Poverty Adviser to provide compassionate, practical energy support to fuel-poor households in Archway, Holloway, Hornsey and nearby areas. You’ll set up and lead our new advice service, acting as the main point of contact for residents who need help with energy bills, home comfort and related issues.
What’s involved?
Working through trusted local venues such as foodbanks, churches and community centres, you will support people who may be in crisis, have limited English or face multiple vulnerabilities. You’ll deliver one‑to‑one advice, group sessions, home visits and light‑touch outreach, and you’ll systematically record and follow up cases, so residents receive consistent support.
Are you a match?
We’re looking for someone empathetic, patient and highly organised, with experience working directly with vulnerable people and confidence using basic IT/CRM systems. An NEA Level 3 Energy Awareness qualification is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
