Powering Archway’s Community Energy Neighbourhood
A community-led movement to green up Archway, North London, creating a better neighbourhood and future for everyone.
A vibrant network of energy-efficient, low-carbon community and business buildings opening doors to even more welcoming spaces that are cheaper to run.
And residents with the know-how to make their homes more energy efficient too.
This is the vision that Tanuja, our Chief Executive, shared with a room full of partners, suppliers and representatives from pilot sites at a meeting at Whittington Park Community Association on 22 January. And there was huge energy and enthusiasm to make it happen.
Building momentum
With 4 pilot sites signed up and grant applications made to the Mayor’s Community Fund for feasibility studies, we’re bringing local community and business groups on board to recruit more sites with the help of our partners. (Caxton House Community Centre, Community Energy London, Islington Sustainability Network and Octopus Community Network).
Will you join us?
We're calling it the ACE Neighbourhood, and it would be brilliant if you'd come on board as a member.
If run a community or commercial building in Archway and want to cut carbon and running costs, or you're keen to get involved as a delivery partner, volunteer, corporate or individual investor from anywhere in the UK, get in touch with us via info@powerupnorthlondon.org.
We’d love to hear from you!
