St. Bennets

Power Up North London has supported St Benet’s and All Saints’ Church in Kentish Town with a decarbonisation project. This involved extensive analysis of the potential for solar panels on several of their roofs. As the church had an old unused underfloor heating system, it was decided that the optimum solution would be a heat pump combined with a new underfloor system. PUNL sourced a grant for a feasibility study on the suitability and implications of either a ground source or air source heat pump. This funding, with additional support from the church, made a feasibility study possible. PUNL and St Benet’s are currently working on securing capital funding based on the study.
